Description:
Paris, France. Place Denfert-Rochereau. Wallace Fountain. Thes public drinking fountains were sculpted by Charles-Auguste Lebourg (1829-1906) and financed by Sir Richard Wallace (1818–1890), a british philanthropist and art collector. They can be found all over Paris. The first fountain was installed boulevard de la Villette (XIXth district) in August 1872. They have been recognized as one of the symbols of Paris.
